Gin/Ecología: La metaética del Feminismo Radical: 2 (Péndulo)
Labrys Editorial
Gin/Ecology: The Metaethics of Radical Feminism (1978) is the fundamental work of Mary Daly, one of the great figures of Radical Feminism and Women's Studies of the second wave of feminism. Daly uses her training as a philosopher, theologian, and linguist to invite us with this book to embark on a Metapatriarchal Journey of Exorcism and Ecstasy. Through three Passages, she will provide the reader with tools to exorcise the patriarchal specters subliminally implanted in her mind through deception, and to reach the ecstasy of encountering Herself, her Depth, and the network formed by the other Travelers who are also on this feminist journey. In the First Passage, she will analyze the myths of the planetary patriarchy and show how they have been refined in the Judeo-Christian tradition, with the inversion of previous gynocentric symbols and the necrophilic dismemberment of the Goddess. In the Second Passage, she will examine various atrocities committed throughout history on different continents, showing how they are connected through what she calls the Sad-Ritual Syndrome. In the Third Passage, she will speak to the reader about the capacities of women that become available after feminist awareness is achieved, to continue advancing toward our being(being), the verb that connects us with our Ultimate Reality in the face of the deceptions of the definitions and practices of the androcratic system.
