This book presents a broad overview of ideological positions, strategies, and feminist lesbian and queer activism. It does not aim to represent lesbian and queer feminism in the Spanish State (such a thing does not exist); on the contrary, it should be understood as a display of its diversity and plurality, including its antagonisms. In this sense, the book is an act, evidence of the intense life of lesbian and queer feminisms here and now, without being applicable to any other geographical reality or time. It is also polyphonic; it includes those who wished, could, and agreed to participate, and lacks those who, for various reasons, have not. It is all who are present, although not all who exist, reflecting the postmodern privilege of being over essence that characterizes queerness. The ideological, political, generational, and even stylistic heterogeneity of the text proves the diversity of our activism and the non-random fact of bringing together here a significant number of independent and disparate texts. However, quantity and disparity fulfill one of the objectives that motivated us to edit it: to create a space for the meeting of theory and activism and their consequent life experiences. Also due to this diversity of tone, the whole forms a valuable mosaic of problems, interests, concerns, and positions regarding the issues raised, those anticipated by its title.
