El feminismo queer es para todo el mundo: 872 (Mayor)
Los Libros de la Catarata
What is “lo queer”? What are its origins and theoretical tools? What are its disagreements with a sector of feminism that considers it a Trojan horse within the movement? At a time when these debates seemed to have passed, the reaction of the so-called trans-exclusionary sector and the far right have brought them back, fueling no small misunderstandings. “Lo queer” is not a neoliberal product nor do queer people simply choose their sex/gender/identity like that. Queer theories provide many keys to understanding issues related to genders, sexualities, identities, and corporealities more fluidly, beyond binaries. Additionally, they take into account how gender, class, sexuality, age, ability, race, ethnicity, migratory status... intersect—key issues for questioning privileges of whiteness, class, or citizenship, among others. Gracia Trujillo also advocates for queer pedagogies to reach the educational field, for activist paths to be known and valued, and for coalitions between the feminist struggle and those of LGTBI+ and queer groups. Recovering these pacts, focusing more on common goals and less on identities, now takes on special relevance.
