Soon we began actively searching for them. As we found them, we felt that we had embarked on a kind of rescue mission. Those photographs had withstood a test imposed by time that lasted between seventy and one hundred seventy years, and we became guardians of those unusual survivors, whose lives and feelings were brought to light at that very moment.
